CURRICULAR OVERVIEW
Each child brings its own world to school every single day and all learning is filtered through a screen of self -concept.
While much is accomplished through teaching standard classroom subjects, too much devotion to committing facts to memory actually discourages fluidity and dynamism of creative thought. EFL curriculum builds upon positive feelings of self worth and fosters learning from life and for life.
Opportunities for growth and learning are provided daily in a playful, uplifting manner: creative expression through the arts, positive social skills, physical development, reverence and appreciation for all life…. foundational skills that will lead to academic skills in the future.
Special focus is laid on the art of living, filled with narrative examples, plenty of music, practical illustrations & useful techniques that children can practice in class and at home. Concentration, memory and self-discipline are “joyously taught”. Through experience, they learn to appreciate the value of attitudes such as willingness, servicefulness and humility.
Children themselves point the way to what is offered in the classroom. With limited pupils under her care, the teacher can carefully observe each child’s strengths, challenges and interests and this determines what comprises each day in school.
